Mayor Morgan to host Brushy Creek Trail Extension Virtual Grand Opening Celebration

The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department to host a virtual Grand Opening Celebration for the City’s new Brushy Creek Trail Extension from A.W. Grimes to Georgetown Street, a brand-new major addition to Round Rock’s growing trail system. The new extension includes a 1.13 mile, 10-foot-wide concrete trail, pedestrian underpass beneath a private drive, pedestrian bridge, amazing views of Brushy Creek, entry monuments, seating opportunities and dog stations.

On Friday, June 5 starting at 11:00am, Mayor Craig Morgan and City leaders will officially open the Brushy Creek Trail Extension for public use with a Grand Opening Celebration that will feature a ribbon cutting and a virtual trail tour that will be featured on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page at www.facebook.com/roundrockparksandrec The entire community is invited to tune in at 10am for the Mayor presentation and virtual tour of this amazing new addition.

National Trails Day
Following the presentation on Friday, residents are invited to join the Parks and Recreation Department to celebrate National Trails Day on Saturday, June 6 from 7:30am to 9:30am off the trail system bear the Rabb House (151 N A.E. Grimes Blvd.). Residents will be treated to FREE T-shirts & refreshments.
