TxDOT to open eastbound RM 620 overpass on Dec. 15

The Texas Department of Transportation will open the newly constructed eastbound RM 620 overpass to traffic at 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15.

The overpass is a part of the RM 620 roundabout project which aims to improve safety and enhance mobility in the project area. Project highlights include the construction of two overpasses, a roundabout, U-turns, frontage roads, and widened lanes.

All eastbound traffic will use the overpass beginning at Briarwood Street to travel directly to the I-35 intersection. Chisholm Trail will be accessible via the eastbound frontage road. All westbound traffic will not be impacted by the overpass opening.

The project is slated for completion in late 2023.
