TxDOT: FM 3406 bridge to reopen Monday

The FM 3406 bridge over I-35 will reopen to commuters at 5 a.m. Monday, June 25, according to TxDOT.

Weather permitting, crews will remove the westbound FM 3406 detour, and the FM 3406 bridge will reopen to eastbound and westbound traffic two months ahead of schedule.

Once the bridge opens, eastbound drivers will no longer have to detour in order to cross I-35 at FM 3406. Construction will continue on the north and southbound I-35 frontage roads in order to complete new U-turn bridges at the intersection this fall. Motorists should expect temporary lane shifts and reductions on the north and southbound frontage roads during this work.
