Round Rock City crews flushing water lines on west side of town

City of Round Rock crews are flushing water lines in areas west of IH-35 after a contractor hit a water line along Chisholm Trail Road on Monday afternoon.

The City has received several complaints about water that is brown in appearance from residents in these areas, which is believed to be due to sediment caused by the break. Despite the break in the line, pressure and chlorine residuals have been maintained in the system. Crews will continue to flush lines in this area overnight to remove any sediment leftover in the system.

If customers continue to see this problem on Tuesday morning and are unable to achieve a clear appearance by running their faucets for several minutes, they are encouraged to call 512-218-5555.
