Rock’n River named 2022 Water Park of the Year by the Texas Public Pool Council

College Station, Texas – Rock’n River named Water Park of the Year by the Texas Public Pool Council.  This honor was bestowed on the city of Round Rock’s flagship Aquatics venue, Rock’n River Water Park, in honor of the impacts made to the youth and families of the Round Rock community. 

Rock ‘N River Water Park served over 109,000 guests in 2022, providing the community with high value for their dollar, with resort style amenities and attractions at a fraction of the cost of area competitors. The water park plays host to numerous community events and serves as the training hub for the city’s Lifeguard Program. A culture of safety and lifeguard excellence has been built at the facility through a weekly training and mentorship program which helped garner a 1st place win for Round Rock’s Lifeguards at the CTAA Regional competition and a 2nd place win at the Texas State Lifeguard Competition in 2022. 

Round Rock Parks and Recreation is currently hiring for all city pools, including Rock’n River, for Summer 2023.  The city hires over 275 team members ages 15+ to the Aquatics Division each summer.  Available positions include: Lifeguard, Pool Attendant, Cashier, Water Safety Instructor, Pool Supervisor, and Pool Manager.  Visit www.roundrocktexas.gov/lifeguards to learn more about joining the award winning team!
