Registration now open for new Little League teams in Leander

Registration began Dec. 1 for three new divisions of Little League Baseball teams in Leander. The city of Leander is launching the league, which will begin in spring 2016 and will have Tee-Ball for children ages 4-7, Coach Pitch for children ages 7-11 and Majors for children ages 9-12, the city announced Dec. 1. The Tee-Ball and Coach Pitch divisions will focus on developing players’ baseball skills, and the Majors division will be a competitive league that provides the opportunity for athletes to participate in the Little League International Tournament, which concludes with the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
