Officers respond to fatal car wreck on Saturday

Shortly before 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of East Palm Valley Blvd and Georgetown Street. A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided. CPR was performed on the motorcyclist before he was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Charles Clifton of Round Rock. The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed. The investigation is ongoing. People who witnessed the incident are encouraged to contact the Round Rock Police Department.
