Notice of proposed property tax rate

The City Council voted 7-0 on Sept. 27 to set the maximum possible property tax rate in support of the FY 2016 proposed budget.

The vote necessitates this required notice.

There will be two required public hearings on the tax rate:

• 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, City Council Chambers at City Hall, 221 E. Main St.
• 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, City Council Chambers at City Hall, 221 E. Main St.
