New Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan appreciates work by predecessor Alan McGraw, opponents

Craig Morgan said Alan McGraw’s nine years as mayor will be a hard act to follow, but he is excited the citizens gave him the opportunity. Morgan won Saturday’s election to become the city’s next mayor with 3,696 votes for 51.66 percent. Hilda Montgomery had 3,094 votes and Josh Couture had 364. Couture is a senior at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock. McGraw, who served the city for nine years as mayor, chose not to run for re-election.
