Need assistance or want to volunteer with ice storm cleanup efforts?
The City of Round Rock’s Community and Neighborhood Services Department has received several requests from residents needing assistance with clearing fallen tree limbs, as well as residents who want to help others in the aftermath of this week’s ice storm.
Created in 2012, Community and Neighborhood Services hosts several directed cleanups in Round Rock neighborhoods throughout the year. Now, the Department is working to facilitate connections so volunteers can assist fellow Round Rock residents who are unable to clear tree limbs from their property due to being elderly, disabled, recent surgery, illness or other special circumstances.
If you would like to be added to the list of volunteers, please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Offer to Volunteer” with the following information:
- Days and times you are available
- Any special skills or tools like a chain saw
- If you are part of a larger organized group (family, church organization, workplace), how many are in your group
If you are a City of Round Rock resident and would like to request volunteer assistance due to physical limitation (elderly, disabled, recent surgery or illness, etc.), please send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Request for Assistance” with the following information:
- Phone number
- Specific need
NOTE: For residents who do not live in City of Round Rock city limits and need volunteer assistance, help can be requested through the Austin Disaster Relief Network at adrn.org/ws2023.
RELATED: In an effort to assist in-city residents with disposal of fallen tree limbs on private property, the City of Round Rock has opened an additional temporary brush recycling location and will allow residents to request free brush pickup over the coming weeks. Learn more
