Houston-based Texas Children’s Hospital to expand to Austin with urgent care, clinics

Texas Children’s Hospital announced today plans to expand its pediatric and maternal care service into Austin. The health care provider based out of Houston plans to open its first Austin pediatric urgent care clinic in spring 2018, although a location has not yet been disclosed, according to a June 1 news release. Jenn Jacome, a spokesperson for the organization, said the hospital is negotiating a lease for a retail suite in South Austin, and more details will be released once both parties have signed the lease.
