City of Round Rock opens hiring for summer internships

The City of Round Rock is now hiring for its summer internship program.

The program is designed to provide an on-the-job opportunity to gain real world work experience in a career-related professional workforce environment. The City of Round Rock is regularly recognized for its strong management and outstanding delivery of services to residents. Pay for the following positions starts at $16 hourly:

• Intern – Transportation
• Intern – Finance 
• Intern – Human Resources 
• Intern – Information Technology Support
• Intern – Information Technology, GIS
• Intern – Communications and Marketing
• Intern – Police Department (Civilian) 
• Intern – Planning and Development Services
• Intern – General Services, Building Construction
• Intern – Library Summer Reading Program 
• Intern – Sports Management and Tourism, Multimedia
• Intern – Sports Management and Tourism, Summer Youth Camp

Requirements

Undergraduate Intern: 

• Must be enrolled as a full-time or recent graduate of an accredited university or college;
• Must be classified (or most recently classified) as an undergraduate student;
• Must be able to provide an unofficial transcript and resume; and,
• Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale

OR

Graduate Intern:

• Must be enrolled full-time or a recent graduate of an accredited university or college;
• Must be classified (or most recently classified) as a graduate student;
• Must be able to provide an unofficial transcript and resume; and,
• Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
