City of Round Rock approves agreements with Williamson County for road improvements

The Round Rock City Council approved three interlocal agreements with Williamson County for future transportation projects at their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Jan. 12.

The agreements calls for the following improvements, which are all currently in the design phase:

County Road 112 (Avery Nelson Parkway) widening project from FM 1460 (A.W. Grimes) to County Road 117

This project will reconstruct the existing two-lane CR to a six-lane divided and added pedestrian facilities along with curb and gutter and drainage from A.W. Grimes to CR 117. Under the agreement approved, Williamson County will commit up to $7,993,500 toward the project, not to exceed 50 percent of total costs. Learn more

This project will reconstruct the existing two-lane county road to a six-lane divided road, and add pedestrian facilities along with drainage, curb and gutter. Under the agreement approved, Williamson County will commit up to $9,496,000 toward the project, not to exceed 50 percent of total costs. Learn more

Old Settlers Boulevard extension project from Red Bud Lane to County Road 110

This connection is expected to be a four-lane divided section with a bridge segment, extending the east-west corridor and providing greater connectivity for residents to other roadways and destinations in the community. Under the agreement approved, Williamson County will commit up to $7,772,000 toward the project, not to exceed 50 percent of total costs. Learn more
