City Council rescinds planned water rate increase
The Round Rock City Council voted unanimously Sept. 26 to rescind a scheduled 3.0 percent increase in water rates scheduled to take effect Oct. 1.
The increase was recommended to be rescinded because the City has saved money by reducing its power costs, improving operations and lowering interest payments by refinancing its debt. The Council had approved in 2017 a three-year program of annual rate increases.
The City has an award-winning series of conservation programs and how-to videos accessible through our Water page.
