Cedar Park police make 8 DWI arrests during patrol program through Labor Day

Cedar Park Police officers made eight arrests for driving while intoxicated during a recent Cedar Park Patrol initiative, the department reported Thursday. From August 18-Sept. 3, the Cedar Park Police Department increased patrol presence on local roadways to monitor for impaired driving violations and discourage people from driving under the influence as part of the ongoing regional Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Initiative. Along with the eight DWI arrests made during the 17-day operation, Cedar Park officers worked 99.75 hours and made one other arrest, according to a police news release.
