Austin Community College to hold forums on campus carry
Less than four months before Senate Bill 11 goes into effect, Austin Community College is scheduling a series of forums designed to examine how campus carry will look on its 11 campuses once implemented. The state campus carry law, passed during the 2015 legislative session, says people with a concealed carry permit can carry a concealed gun on college campuses—with some exceptions. ACC District President Richard Rhodes said a task force has been examining how four-year universities—who were required to implement the law last August—have formed and enforced their policies over the past year.
