Williamson County’s FY 2017-18 budget includes $191M general fund, EMS staff for Cedar Park fire station

After a month of discussion, Williamson County Commissioners Court voted Tuesday to approve the county’s fiscal year 2017-18 budget. The county passed a budget with a general fund of $191,598,091 and an overall county tax rate of just under 47 cents per $100 valuation. The approved general fund tax rate is just under 26 cents per $100 valuation, which reflects a decrease of one cent from the prior fiscal year. The road and bridge rate is 4 cents per $100 valuation and the debt service remained the same at nearly 17 cents per $100 valuation.
