Williamson County Sheriff’s Office warns of phone scam
Williamson County residents beware of phone calls coming from 512-213-0691. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of a scam involving a fraudulent caller who identifies him or herself as a deputy with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. According to the reports the caller stated that the victim had an outstanding warrant and failed to appear in court. The caller then instructed the victim to go to a store and buy several gift-cards for the amount of $2,500.00 in order to avoid going to jail. The number the fraudulent caller used is 512-213-0691.
