Williamson County commissioners appoint Laura Barker to County Court at Law No. 2
The Williamson County Commissioners Court appointed Republican candidate Laura Barker to serve as County Court at Law No. 2 judge at its June 7 meeting. The position has been vacant since former Judge Tim Wright resigned after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges in August 2015. Barker won the Republican primary run-off against Warren Oliver Waterman on May 24 and will not face a Democratic opponent in the November election.
