Wilco group calls for donations for Bastrop fire victims

As the wildfire known as the Hidden Pines Fire continues to burn thousands of acres in Bastrop County, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Posse is issuing a call for help. Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a state of disaster in Bastrop County Oct. 15, which will allow the state to take further efforts toward gathering resources to assist the impacted communities. The fire had consumed more than 4,200 acres and was 15 percent contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.
