We need your input on Transit Plan

Published on July 7, 2015 under RRnews

The City is in the midst of developing a Transit Plan, and is seeking additional public input this month.

A new interactive tool will allow you to prioritize investments to create your ideal transit system. You’ll learn about the different types of transit services, then develop a system while staying within budget. It’s a challenging exercise, but one that will give our planners effective input.

There will be three public meetings on Thursday, July 16, to solicit more input and give people the opportunity to take the survey.

We’ll host a community open house from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Public Library, 216 E. Main St., to discuss future transit options. Stop by to learn more about the Transit Plan, ask questions and take the interactive survey to help us shape transit in Round Rock.

We’ll host a pair of public meetings during the evening, from 6 to 6:30 and 6:30 to 7 at the Baca Center, 301 W. Bagdad Ave. Each meeting will consist of a brief presentation and interactive survey.

The City’s consultant on the project, Nelson Nygaard, released in June an Existing Conditions report.
