UT Police: Suspect in fatal stabbing incident had mental health issues
The suspect in yesterday’s stabbing at The University of Texas has a history of mental health issues, officials said Tuesday. UT Police Chief David Carter said in a news conference the suspect, 21-year-old Kendrex J. White, was apprehended less than 2 minutes after the stabbing death of a student. Four others were wounded in the incident. “This was not a conspiracy,” Carter said. “This was not a person that had a vendetta among any particular group.”
