Upcoming road closures

Construction work will necessitate the closing of all or a portion of the following roads:

• A half block of Lampasas Street, from East Main Street north to the alley, will be closed Friday morning, April 1, so a crane can place air conditioning unit on an adjacent building roof.
• Portions of East Bagdad Avenue and Georgetown Street will be reduced to one-lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 1. Crews will be conducting soil testing for the East Bagdad Avenue Extension project. The project will extend East Bagdad from its current terminus at Burnet Street to Georgetown Street. The project includes widening South Georgetown Street to 3-lanes between South Black Street and East Main Street.
• A portion of East Bowman Road, form North Mays Street to Nicole Circle, will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, for utility work.
