State Rep. Isaac proposes changes to standardized testing for Texas students
State Rep. Jason Isaac, R-Dripping Springs, who represents Blanco and Hays counties, told Community Impact Newspaper today his plans to propose fundamental reforms to how students in Texas are tested when the 85th Legislative Session convenes Jan. 10. The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness are administered to some elementary, middle and high school students. The exams test a student’s understanding of math, reading, science and social studies among other subjects.
