Save on water smart products this weekend

During Memorial Day weekend, May 25-28, consumers can purchase select water saving products that conserve water, recharge water tables or limit water evaporation, tax free.

Eligible items:

• WaterSense labeled products (toilets, showerheads, and more)
• soaker or drip-irrigation hose
• all plants, trees and grasses
• rain barrel or alternative rain and moisture collection system
• moisture control for sprinkler or irrigation system
• permeable ground cover surface that allows water to reach underground basins, aquifers or water collection points
• water-saving surfactants
• soil and compost
• mulch

Remember, the City offers rebates on specific WaterSense labeled items, and mulch is free every day for City of Round Rock water customers at the Brush Recycling Facility.

The Lawn and Garden Water Smart Tax Holiday was created in 2016 to encourage responsible water use in Texas. Learn more about the tax-free holiday on Texas Comptroller’s website.
