Round Rock Police investigate shooting

At approximately 10 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 1900-block of Provident Lane. One adult male was transported to the hospital by EMS, treated for a gunshot wound, and pronounced dead at the hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates the incident to be domestic in nature. A female subject was taken into custody on scene and is being cooperative with the investigation. We are working with the District Attorney to determine if she will be charged in this incident. We will release additional information as it becomes available.
