Round Rock named one of coolest suburbs in America
Austin may be weird, but Round Rock is cool, according to a recent list of the nation’s coolest suburbs.
People are flocking to the country’s booming metropolitan areas, but for those who want to deal with less hassles of big city living, there are the suburbs. These smaller cities and towns offer proximity to everything their larger neighbors have to offer, while oftentimes being safer and less crowded.
Round Rock was one of the top 19 ‘burbs featured in Apartment Therapy’s 2019 list of “Coolest Suburbs in America.” Other Texas cities listed in the ranking included Denton and Arlington. The list was assessed based on the availability of “diverse dining options, awesome coffee shops, walkable areas, outdoor recreation, unique boutiques, family-friendly activities, a sense of community, and a lively arts scene,” according to the site’s methodology.
“Quite a few people who have their sights set on living in Austin end up in Round Rock, Texas,” according to the article. “The reasons for this switch are all but self-evident. From culture to recreation, the suburb has a ton to offer.”
