Round Rock City Council approves deal with Police Officers Association for officer pay increase
In a unanimous vote, Round Rock City Council authorized Mayor Craig Morgan to finalize an agreement with the Police Officers Association. The deal allows the city to offer a pay increase to police officers of 2.5 percent in FY 2019 and FY 2020. In addition, the deal will normalize the percentage difference of pay steps, which is equivalent to years of service. This was normalized to 2 percent, according to City Manager Laurie Hadley. Hadley said the deal also changes the amount officers receive on retirement and sick leave policy.
