Police seek assistance identifying armed robbery suspect

On Monday, May 30, around 9:40 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in progress call at the Valero Corner Store located at 1900 S. Mays Street. An armed Hispanic or light-skinned Black male entered the store, approached the counter and while holding the employee at gunpoint, retrieved cash from the register. The suspect fled the scene on foot southbound with an undisclosed amount of money.  

The suspect appeared to be between 20-25 years old, 160 lbs., about 5’8’’ tall, light complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black do-rag, red bandana over his face, a white t-shirt with a graphic and lettering, khaki pants, a dark-colored belt and black tennis shoes. There were no injuries in the incident. Surveillance photos attached.
