Pflugerville purchases $4.3 million property for city athletic complex

On Tuesday night the Pflugerville City Council unanimously approved the purchase of approximately 237 acres of land for a nature park and new city athletic complex. The property, known as the Rosa Pfluger Tract, is located off Cameron Road, east of SH 130 in Pflugerville and was purchased for $4.276 million. In a November bond election, Pflugerville voters approved $11 million for a city sports complex, but a site for the facility had not been selected at that time. Part of the designated bond funding will be used to purchase the Rosa Pfluger Tract property, according to city officials.
