Pflugerville man given Lifesaving Award
On Memorial Day, Albert Hidrogo of Pflugerville was driving with his two sons when he saw a man standing on top of a car that was being swept away by floodwaters. Hidrogo called 911 but because the local fire departments were responding to other emergencies, they couldn’t come to the scene immediately, said dispatcher Stacey Boeck, who received Hidrogo’s call. “I told Albert I needed his help, he needed to be our eyes and ears,” Boeck said. “I asked Albert to yell to the victim to stay in one place and hang on.”Read more Hidrogo stayed on the scene for […]
