New utility billing system to launch on March 6

Published on February 24, 2018 under RRnews

The City of Round Rock will implement a new utility billing system in the coming weeks that will provide residents a way to manage usage and payments more effectively.

RRTXWater will officially launch on Tuesday, March 6, with a new online portal available at RRTXWater.com. Residents will still be able to pay their bills in person after the launch, or they can register online for convenient and user-friendly access to account information and data. Once the new system launches, there will no longer be transaction fees for any payment methods.

No online bill payments will be accepted after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28. Until the new website launches on March 6, residents may pay their bills by check or money order at the City Hall drop-off box located at 221 E. Main Street near the corner of Bagdad Avenue and Sheppard Street, or by mail.

Round Rock’s Utility Billing Office will be closed March 1-5 and will not accept walk-in traffic, phone calls or online payments due to the transition to the new billing system.

Over time, RRTXWater will track and compare water usage to allow residents and City leaders to make decisions based on real-time data. Future plans for the service include a robust mobile app, which will include the ability to pay bills using smartphone technology and give users instant access to their information.
