Mosquito spraying takes place Friday-Sunday in Hutto

Three consecutive nights of insecticide spraying for mosquitoes begins in Hutto tonight after 9 p.m. Although the mosquito control product poses no significant health risk, homeowners are asked to stay inside with their pets during spraying. The city of Hutto is spraying because two samples of mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile virus. Collections in the Hutto Parke subdivision and Creekside Park had positive results. No human cases have been reported in Hutto.
