Mobility Authority: TxTag will work on toll roads in Florida, Georgia and Carolinas next year

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority approved an agreement to allow TxTag and other Texas toll transponders to work on toll roads in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina at its board meeting today, June 28. Tim Reilly, director of operations for the Mobility Authority, said the states’ tolling agencies will have interoperability beginning in early to mid-2018. An agreement is in place for interoperability with the state of Oklahoma, which should begin at the end of 2017, Reilly said. He said Colorado may be a possibility in the future as well.
