Leander moving forward with senior activity center
The city of Leander is taking steps toward the creation of a senior activity center. Leander City Council approved an agreement Thursday for $467,200 for the design, engineering and construction administration services of the center with PGAL, an international design firm headquartered in Houston. Leander voters approved funding for the design and construction of the facility in a May 2016 bond election. “This is the beginning phase of our senior activity center, and we’re excited about moving forward,” Parks and Recreation Director Mark Tummons said to council members.
