Join neighbors, police for National Night Out on Oct. 4

2016nno-webFrom 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, neighborhoods across the City are invited to join forces with thousands of other communities across Texas for the 33rd Annual National Night Out against crime.

During National Night Out, families, friends and neighbors form block parties in their neighborhoods to get to know each other and help reduce crime.

The Police Department is proud to partner with the National Association of Town Watch and the citizens of Round Rock in this crime prevention event. On Oct. 4, residents are urged to get involved and join over 35 million people in more than 11,000 communities to promote police-community partnerships; crime, drug, and violence prevention; safety; and neighborhood unity.

“We look forward to this time of the year because it opens the lines of communication between residents and law enforcement,” said Officer Joseph Claypool, who handles Community Relations for the department.

Our officers will be visiting numerous neighborhood gatherings to meet and greet, provide information and bring awareness to effective crime prevention strategies. Neighborhoods can register their event here.
