Hutto ISD names Ed Ramos interim superintendent

Hutto ISD Deputy Superintendent Ed Ramos has been named the district’s interim superintendent beginning June 9. The appointment comes after current Superintendent Doug Killian announced his resignation to assume the same role for neighboring Pflugerville ISD. Killian’s last contract day with HISD is June 30, but his last working day in the district is June 8. Killian announced his intention to join PfISD on April 10. After being named the finalist, a three-week period is mandated before a contract is offered. The contract agreement was announced May 4. Ramos received the support of the board of trustees.
