Heatherwilde widening project underway
The city’s plan to reconstruct and widen Heatherwilde Boulevard in Pflugerville is now underway. Features of the project include a divided, four lane road, raised medians, an improved drainage system, pedestrian facilities and a traffic signal at Kingston Lacy Boulevard. Voters approved the $6.7 project in a 2014 transportation bond package. According to city officials, temporary lanes will be used on the west side of Heatherwilde Boulevard. This will allow for two-way traffic, both north and southbound, for the duration of construction.
