H-E-B rolls out expanded pharmacy services in Austin area
As a result of a new accreditation, all H-E-B stores that house a pharmacy department will now be able to deliver specialized clinical services to patients having more chronic and complex diseases including auto-immune, Hepatitis C, multiple sclerosis and oncological diseases, spokeswoman Julie Bedingfield stated in a news release. The change will allow H-E-B pharmacies to dispense medications—injectable, intravenous or oral—in a patient’s home, physician’s office or another clinic, the release states.
