Cities to consider second phase of BCRUA water project

Published on June 10, 2016 under CommunityImpact

The cities of Cedar Park and Round Rock heard a presentation in May and June on the second phase of the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority project. The BCRUA project provides water from Lake Travis to Cedar Park, Leander and Round Rock. The expanded water project can provide up to 42 million gallons of water per day from the lake to the three cities. Aaron Archer, a project manager with HDR Engineering, said the second phase of the project includes a new deep-water intake and a new pump station in Lake Travis.
