Cedar Park police to increase DWI enforcement around July 4

Starting Saturday, the Cedar Park Police Department will launch its second campaign to increase DWI enforcement in the last two months. From June 24-July 5, the police department will increase patrol presence on local roadways to discourage and monitor for impaired driving violations as part of the ongoing regional Selective Traffic Enforcement Program initiative. The program focuses on local law enforcement raising awareness of a traffic violation, such as speeding, not wearing a seat belt or driving under the influence.
