Water Wise Landscape classes resume April 26

The City of Round Rock’s Water Conservation Program has partnered with Texas AgriLife Extension’s Water University to hold a Water Wise Landscaping Series again this year!  Topics include:

Lawn Care Maintenance, part 3 in the 2017 series

Is the green in your lawn weeds or grass? Proper lawn care maintenance is key to a healthy lawn. This program covers basic lawn maintenance and selecting the right turf grass to improve the health and longevity of your landscape. Learn how to maintain your landscape using less water, fertilizer, and pesticides.

Gardening for Wildlife, part 4 in the 2017 series

May 3 @ 12:30 pm2:30 pm, Round Rock Public Library, Meeting Room A

Native and Adaptive plants are not only beautiful water efficient additions to your landscape, but the can be useful tools to attract beneficial wildlife as well.  Learn ways to attract and provide urban habitat for butterflies, song birds, hummingbirds, bees, and other animals that bring your landscape to life with activity!

You will also have the opportunity to meet water utility staff at the Library, Meeting Room B, Friday, May 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. Come take a look at some of the tools the water utility staff uses each day on their job and visit with a variety of staff to ask your water questions! All ages are welcome.
